[A/S] Curtain question
I am planning on making my own curtains for my Airstream.... has anyone
sewn their own? I have bought the T tabs that need to be sewn on. Do you
need to purchase heavy duty needles to sew thru them?
I would like to make curtains that I can adjust the height of. So that if
they are down - the completely cover the window. But, when they are up, it
would look like a valance. I am imagining this could be done by sewing
rings to the back and manually clipping the rings together. Or maybe a
design with buttons - where their is a button hole near the top and a button
sewn on the bottom. Or maybe a strip of fabric sewn to the back that could
be tied to gather the fabric up.
If anyone has a clue to what I am trying to figure out - please contact me!
If I were working with a regular curtain rod it would be easy. But I have
neer worked with the little tabs and the little metal strip that they go in.
I know it would be easier to make straight drapes and just pull them to the
center for privacy - but I like the idea of a valance - when you want to let
the light in and don't need full privacy.
