Re: [A/S] LP gas question

Some where back down the road you purchased LP from a vender with excessive scent oil in his/her tanks. The current tank you are using should be purged as well as the low pressure line attached at
the bottom of your coach LP regulator. If you are fortunate the other tank will not have the same problem. This kind of thing is not uncommon. We have drained as much as a cup of oil out of some
coach systems. Unfortunately many folks don't find out about until so much oil gets into a system that it clogs up appliances and causes damage. Airstream has traditionally used a larger diameter low
pressure flex line from the regulator to allow for the build up of this oil. A smaller diameter line will allow the oil to be pulled further into the system quicker. If you suspect oil in your LP
system you can check by shutting off the tanks and disconnecting the low pressure line at the bottom of the regulator and lowering it down and letting it drain. Be sure to leak test the fitting after
you put things back together.
