Re: [A/S] tow vehicle choice (excessive sway)



Thomas, there was a post a couple of weeks ago on how to set up your 
equilizer hitch.  It discussed measuring to a fixed point on the tow vehicle, 
then hooking up the trailer and re-measure to your fixed points.  Also need 
to make sure you have the proper hitch ball height for your trailer.  You 
might review that post to see if you have your hitch set up properly.  

Also, I assume you are using some kind of sway control?  If the hitch is set 
up properly, including sway control, your Surburban and 28 ft. Airstream 
shouldn't give an excessive amount of sway when trucks pass.  You may "feel" 
a truck from time to time, but it shouldn't be anything alarming.
