Hi, Tom:

         What I've heard is that Airstream insists that you order from a 
dealer, unless that's changed.  However, a couple of years ago at the Swiss 
Festifal Rally in Ohio, I was standing in line with Ewart Phillips, who 
told me about his special order (through a dealer).  He had the entire 
bedroom done to order, as I recall.  I think they'll do whatever 
customizing you insist on, but the original order must come through a 
dealer.  Wouldn't hurt to ask Jackson Center.
