Guess I'll pull  more belly pan  and eyeball the frame some 
more.  I e-mailed Airstream tech last week and have not heard 
anything yet.  I would think it was an angle rather than a channel 
though since adding a channel over the frame would require 
pulling the floor ????
My newly aquired 72 29 ft rear bath Ambassador has bottomed 
suspension and I think this may have contributed.  Hoping the 
new axles will be here in about 2 weeks or less.
