  We're talking about the Hoppy or Tamarack level with the big curved 
vial. There's a much smaller one mounted on top for front-rear leveling.

You get your trailer LEVEL first, then mount the new level. There's 
slots for the mounting screws, so you can adjust it to a degree. Then, 
you use the little screwdriver adjustment to dial in the F/R level.

I use a dumpy level ("instrument") and shoot the trailer frame to get 
the F/R as perfect as possible before adjusting the permanently mounted 
level. That way, the bathroom door doesn't swing by itself. You're 
supposed to make sure the fridge is perfect, but I'm figuring that it's 
mounted "close enough" to parallel with the frame that it'll be OK.
