AJ, you sound like a prime candidate for a generator. No practical way to
run an electric refrigerator or an air conditioner off on board trailer
batteries. Some motor homes have 3-way refrigerators and some have
compressor type refrigerators that run off of 12 volts as well as 110 volts
but they also have engine driven alternators or gasoline generator sets.

Some people have good experience with the factory Univolt but others, myself
included, have replaced the Univolt with the InteliPower and Charge Wizard
converters. An inverter is a different animal. Inverters convert 12 volts DC
to 110 volts AC to run appliances when shore power isn't available. For big
appliances it takes a big inverter (read expensive) and they pull the house
batteries down quickly.

How close is your neighbor with power and water? What would it cost to get
power run to your place? Save the cost of a generator?
