Re: [A/S] F-250 Tire Question

I have been driving F 250's for almost 30 years.
At one time I used them as a farm truck and had carried a 9 1/2'
slide in camper, then I needed load ranger "E".

I no longer use my F 250 to carry loads but I still can within reason
with my current Load range "D" 's, Almost 2400# per tire at 65 PSI.
Thats good for a GVW 9600#, my F 250 4x4 with a 460 and extended box
super cab weighs about 7000 # empty. That leaves me about 2500# for
cargo.

The load range "D"also softens the ride a bit, my 1985 F 250 is a
heavy duty 4x4 and rides like a wagon, I know that the newer trucks
are better.

Hope to meet you at Rapid City, I'll be with the Vintage group.

Hunter if you are only using it for a tow vehicle the Load Range "D"
will be fine, that is what I would put on and in fact have done
already.

My Airstream tow vehicle is a Z 71 4x4.
