The reason I'm asking is new *E* tires will cost me $700..... the slightly 
used *D*s are $150.00.   I'm not putting much weight into the truck at 
all.... just camping stuff, tool boxes, a saddle..... dog food, kitty 
litter..... no where near the capacity. The truck has a 13.500 tow rating and 
my trailer is approx 7,300 "wet" so I'm not really using the truck to its 
full potential.  

I know the *E*s are the best bet......... but if I could do the *D*s safely 
for my application I would rather..... because of the price difference.
