Jim,
I did the exact same thing not long back.
It went real easy too.
I was a bit perplexed over the wire colors until the brain kicked in and
I realized that because it is a magnet, current flow doesn't matter.
The one thing I did that you did not mention was to replace all the bolts
and nuts. I add this because I would recommend to anyone about to do this
to be sure and get metal locknuts and don't use the nylon type as the
nylon insert could melt.
I don't much trust anything but the best in this application because
these bolts and nuts are all that hold the brakes on.
