The parts to rebuild the step are available from any Airstream dealer. With 
the exception of the step release mechanism Airstream still uses the same 
step system. The outriggers on each side of the step are welded to the frame 
rails and are side specific. The step release currently in use is a rail 
across the top of the step as opposed to the right hand release knob. If you 
have any other step parts they can still be used.
