Re: [A/S] Re: Length limits?
Sally,
I doubt that Airstreamers have to worry much about height restrictions
on the road. IIRC, I measured my Avion at under 10' to the top of the
A/C unit. There will be some places where I might run into problems, but
those will be OFF-road.
In any event, I'm going to follow a recommendation that I saw someplace:
measure the height accurately and print a lable of some sort for the
dash of my truck. It's not a good thing to approach a low overhang and
have to try to remember just how high the rig is.
As far as length goes, we ran into a situation last Fall: the
reservations clerk for PA's State Parks told us of a 20' or somesuch
(short) length restriction at a park that we wanted to stay at. We
elected to ignore her advice and went to the park anyway, only to find
that a 30' trailer could easily be accomodated. The folks at the park
itself basically told us that the central reservations people didn't
necessarily know what they were talking about. :-)
