I'm still learning, bought a 31 ft 1978 in the fall, interior just about 
done. Have done most recaulking, still have front vent and antenna mount to 
caulk. I am scared to go on roof. Stepladders are very unsafe, my most secure 
ladder is a 20 ft ext. ladder not extended, gives 10 ft and allows me to 
easily reach beyond center of trailer, I feel the extension beyond the roof 
gives me something solid to lean against and my feet are below where the 
ladder leans against the trailer.
I've seen pictures of people on the roof, but that's not for me. Secure 
footing for the ladder is a must! I feel very safe on the 20 ft. ext.
I'm curious to hear others response to this!
