Ned,
From you description the Toe setting (tracking angle of the wheel/tire) on 
that axle is off. The axle needs to be aligned (bent). Airstream and 
Henschen developed a very comprehensive procedure to do this. It requires a 
fairly expensive set of equipment and is not commonly found. Depending on 
what part of the country you are in, you might start by asking your nearest 
Airstream dealer. If they don't know, call Airstream direct. Please do not 
try to "nudge" the axle into alignment, and do not let anyone apply heat to 
bend it.
