[A/S] Electronic rear-view mirror?

Read a previous post about visibility problems when backing the 
trailer. A thought had occured to us the other day - how about an 
electronic rear-view mirror?

A lot of web sites are advertising "mini web cams" for low prices. 
You've probably seen them used to monitor how nannies are treating 
children, etc. Could one of these be mounted in the back window of 
the trailer, pointing straight back, and then the video wired to the 
tow vehicle, with a small, even black & white, TV set as the monitor? 
Probably cheaper than repairing some guy's Camarro, and worth the 
price if it avoids irreperable harm to something living.

If someone came up with such a gizmo, I'd be REAL interested.

Another idea someone had was to mount a simple hitch on the front of 
the tow vehicle & maneuver the beast into tight spots that way.
