[A/S] Re: Tow Vehicle, Long Wheel Base



Great choice and take it a step further like we did. Take the factory 
box off and cut the frame off as close the rear spring shackles as 
you can. We didn't evan leave 5 or 6 inches for bumper brackets. We 
dropped brackets down on the inside of the frame for the bumper. We 
installed a heavy rectangular tube bumper and built the hitch as part 
of it. Keep the hook up as short as possible. We then built an Alum 
flat bed complete with tool boxes and a wood box recessed between the 
frame rails and both tank fillers on one side. No need to have the 
wife stand there holding the fuel hose while you turn the rig around. 
We built the flat bed with wheel wells to keep it as low as possible.
