Re: [A/S] Buying Input
Hi Ron,
You're where I was 4 years ago.... here's what I did..... first I bought a
motorhome which meant I also had to have a car to pull behind. Two motors,
two drivetrains to maintain... two motor vehicles to insure and register....
especially when one was sitting alot.
I also didn't like having a steering wheel and dashboard in my living room,
but that's a personal preference of course. I like driving the truck and
when I get where I'm going going back into my "house" Also, the idea of my
house going into the shop is disconcerting.
That other problem is backing up... you can't do it with the car hooked up
behind... gotta unhook it first. )c: Then there was the problem of keeping my
dogs cool..... the dash air didn't do it, had to run the generator and the
roof air.
So, I sold the motorhome and bought a truck, a 1999 Ford F-250 with the
diesel engine.... and I now live in a 25' Excella Classic.
I bought the trailer when it was 3 years old, saved a bunch thanks to the
first owner taking the depreciation hit...also all the little nitty problems
had been corrected.
I am so happy with this set up it's disgusting.
So, *my* recommendation is truck and trailer over mototrhome. New vs used
depends on your bank account.....
