HI Daisy,
We replaced our original furnace with the NT30S this early winter-
late fall. Our old furnace couldnt be repaired anymore.... and most 
repair shops didnt want the liability of repairing that old of a 
furnace.  The new furnace is MUCH more to our liking.... more even 
heat output, plus it doesnt cycle on/off as often as the 
smaller/older unit. I installed it into the original "can" and it 
looks "original" from inside and outside.

If you had any photos of how you put a new furnace in an older can, I would 
love to see it.  I would like to do the same.
