I tow a 1983 Excella 31 ft. which has a dry weight of 4950 and wet of 
7300 with a 02 Mercury Mountaineer V8 rated to tow 6700 lbs.  we use 
the airstream for camping so it is never near the full wet weight. 

Our experience was that the Mountaineer (which is really an Explorer) 
had plenty of power to pull the trailer but had trouble keeping it in 
line when an 18 wheeler went by over 70 or so.,  Had to constantly 
apply the trailer brakes and slow down to 55 or so.

When we got the Hensley, now I can pull the trailer at 70 mph and be 
passed by 18 wheelers doing 80-90 and I fee almost nothing.  So we 
are extremely happy with the Hensley.

I used to own a 94 Grand Cherokee 6, and obviously did not have the 
power of the V8, but it towed various pop ups and U-Hauls very well.  
I think you should try it, because the Hensley is bound to improve 
your experience, and it will put off the acquisition of a bigger 
vehicle for a while.  The Hensley stays with the trailer so you will 
not have a problem upgrading vehicles at any time.

You did not say how much the International weights.  

Who wouldn't like to own a Suburban or a large truck, but I could not 
park it in Miami, so the best I will do down the road is a 
Tahoe/Yukon size vehicle.

All tow vehicles are compromises.

Anyway that is my 3 cents worth.
