We need to recognise  that the big pressure on high end price trailers 
such as  Airstream is the motorhome.  They sell like hot cakes and I 
suspect  their main attraction is  they are as much like your home as can 
be put on wheels.  Hench the recent trend in A/S interiors.  Towing a 
trailer is not overly attractive to a new prospective RV owner who can 
view driving a MH much like a car.  A trailer often  includes buying a  
pricey heavy duty tow vehicle plus the  trailer.  This  combined price 
makes a nice sized motorhome look very competitive.  Plus everyone is 
doing it it so joining the pack has it attractiveness.
