Bob,

There is no doubt that you have your work cut out for you, but try to buy a new 
Airstream "one cushion at a time".  There is a wealth of information and knowledge on 
this and the Vintage Airstream list.  You certainly have a real labor of 
love/hate/denigrating the DNA characteristics of prior owners relationship ahead of 
you, but you won't find yourself going it alone out there.
