  It is not necessary nor recommended to run your tires at the max 
pressure unless you're carrying max loads. I run my truck tires at about 
45 -> 48#, that's a Dodge w/Cummins. Although I don't have a 
load/inflation chart handy (one is sent by A-Weigh-We-Go after you've 
had your rig weighed by them), I'm pretty confident that I have 
sufficient pressure for the load on the tires. The trailer tires run at 
the same pressure; I think the "maximum" is 65 PSI.

Too-hard tires ride terribly, too-soft tires get hot and will 
disintigrate. I check my tire temperatures every hour on the road, and 
the temperature rise is always less than 20 degrees. The only exception 
is if it's warm and sunny; the "sunnyside" tires will get a bit warmer.
