Just to add another angle to consider. I tow with a full size Chevy van the 
A/S is a 27 ft overlander, depending on the cargo (# of offspring, bikes, 
clothes, w/wo TV. etc.) the number of links changes. My Chevy is a 2500 
series and shows very little drop when trailer is hitched w/o EQ bars. Yet if 
I do not pull them tight enough you can definitely feel the light front. The 
more cargo I throw in the back the more I need the jump up a link. On trips 
where we travel light the bars are more for sway then EQ.
