OK here goes a real post:

I am looking for a vintage Airstream galley stove.  One from the
fifties  .  One model was called a: "princess" and I think there might
have been others???  They look a little like '52 or '53 Ford .

I have torn apart the interior of my 31' 73 rear bedroom international
as was my plan when I bought it.  I am a cabinetmaker,  so all the
laminate surfaces are going except for the counter top , I'll make a new
one.  I haven't had a lot of time to devote to this project, but they
galley is now gone,  I've put in a new NT Suburban furnace (a very
simple job with the cabinet gone), yanked the new 50 amp univolt,  why
why why would any one install that noisy beast I don't know.  I guess
anything with a transformer  ( ferroresonant) makes a HUMMING noise,
but the new electronic converters/charger are silent, except for a small
fan which comes on only when there is a heat build up. I have replaced
the large panels ( bulkheads??) with vertical grain fir paneling that I
milled down to 1/4" and glued to a perforated plywood backer ( Thinking
about weight, but not going to get totally obsessive).
The design projects I have been involved in usually end up a mix of high
tech, Shaker style cabinetry, and retro. Sorry, no pic  yet.
Daisy, nice job on your floor installation!  Looks really beautiful. I
grew up with a cork floor in our bathroom. I want one in the AS. Do you
know if it comes in larger sheets?  Also I think I have all the
interior  stuff you are looking for. contact me off list:

I love that picture of you on the roof with the paper towels.  I think
the favorite activity of the previous owner of my international was to
have a few Martinis and get out the ol calkin gun . Then it looks like
he used a shovel to give it that smooth "professional" look .

OH, Glad to see Dicks workin on his sense of humor.  "Bays are
numbered".  Is there no mercy in this world ?!
