Re: [A/S] Venting a microwave.

Microwave ovens work by exciting the molecules of water or fat (generating
heat in the process). Consequently, cooking in microwave generates a lot
of steam (mostly) and some grease vapor. This must be vented out of the
microwave (and the enclosure, if any, housing the microwave).

Since heat rises, the vent MUST be ON THE TOP. Likewise, the air intake
should be on the bottom in order to get a good flow of air through the
cooking chamber.

Thus any good built in should include an air intake at the bottom and an
exhaust at the top.

So far a vibration is concerned, I wouldn't sweat it. An Airstream rides so
softly and smoothly that it is unlikely to vibrate the guts of a well made
microwave. Unless, of course, you race over speed bumps and potholes.
