[A/S] Airstream Jack Points

I currently own a '66 Safari and an '84 Excella 31'.  I have previously
owned an '83 Excella 31' and a '93 Excella 34'.  My daughter owned, until
recently, a '72 Overlander 27'.

I have performed at least basic wheel and tire, brake, and bearing service
on each of the above trailers which required me to lift the trailers with a
floor jack.  Each of them also has/had square aluminum plates marked with a
cross or "x" mark, attached to the frame aft of the rear wheels.  The
owner's manual for each of the above-mentioned trailers clearly indicates,
in the English language, that the correct point to place a jack in order to
lift the trailer is on the square aluminum plates attached to the frame aft
of the axles.  I have an original '72 Airstream shop service manual which
also clearly indicates, in the English language, that the correct location
to place a jack for lifting an Airsteam is on the square aluminum plates
attached to the rear frame aft of the rear wheels.

Each of the above-mentioned Airstreams is/was factory-equipped with BAL
stabilizer jacks.  The BAL stabilizer jacks on each of the above-mentioned
trailers is/was attached to the rear frame of the trailer at a point
approximately three to six feet, depending on the length of the trailer, aft
of the aluminum jack point plate which is also aft of the rear wheels.

Can anyone scan and e-mail us a copy of written instructions from a reliable
source such as an Airstream owner's manual, Airstream factory service
manual, or Airstream technical advisory which indicates that the BAL
stabilizer jacks on all of our trailers should be removed and relocated to
the aluminum jack plates which are several feet forward of their current
factory-installed location?  I wonder if the folks in the service department
at Jackson Center would relocate them for us at no cost if they were
incorrectly installed at the factory?
