Re: [A/S] Our Safari

Hi Jim:

Thanks for the kind note about our 1977 Safari.

We purchased it two years ago from Doug Peterson. Doug is a lover of
Airstreams and has owned about 14 so far.

Doug had purchased 2 Safari's for his children and our's was one he had
really super restored. When we purchased it from Doug he had in the
previous year or so had P & S in Ohio, strip then reseal the exterior.
Fowlers had replaced all the curtains. The couch, bunk & sides of the
trailer next to walls of the twin beds had been redone in beautiful maroon
fabric. New interior light covers. New 30 pound Worthington Propane Tanks.
New Smoke front window cover. We also have excellent Zip Dee's on both
sides and over the bathroom window in the rear. (Streetside is new). The
hydralic brakes have been replaced with all new electric brakes. In
addition the unit has A/C & Alloy wheels.

We had looked for an Airstream trailer for over two years, but with a busy
work schedule wanted a nice unit --- not a fixer up. I just did not have
the time to spend fixing up a used unit. The price was less than a new pop
up and I know we are a lot happier with the Safari & will have it a lot
longer than a pop up, even a new pop up!

We have worked had to keep it spotless and really shined up. It is a real
eye catcher wherever we go.

I have 10 more years to go before retirement - our plan is to use this unit
for 10 years then maybe get a larger unit too to spend the winters in DOWN
SOUTH!

Thanks again for your note.
