Some of the reasons folks are changing to electric brakes is the 
availability of service. They can be serviced by almost any gas 
station or trailer dealer. Not so with disc brakes. Also cost. The 
acuator for electric brakes mounts under the dash and doesn't cost 
$840.00. Weight is another. I disagree with the person who said disc 
brakes provide 33 percent more stopping power. If electric brakes can 
be locked up, they are doing the same job as disc. But the big reason 
for me was when the "west coast AS dealer" wanted $400.00 for pads. I 
have the entire disc brake system from my 78 Excella. I will sell it 
for $200.00 to who ever wants it. Good luck. Arnie
