I can not answer your question as to what the present version, TOPO 3.0
has in the data base.  I think your best bet is to contact DeLorme and ask.
I am still using TOPO 2.0 and Street Atlas 7.0...

Being a stingy New England Yankee, I have not seen a need to update my
present versions... I did upgrade to Street Atlas 8.0 but I prefer the address
search function in 7.0 so am still using it.

Topo 2.0 and 3.0 are almost identical other than a increased National Park
and trails data base and improved printing functions. The topo maps and topo
data are the same as far as I can tell...

I have talked with the people at DeLorme,  they are good to work with and have
a "unpublished" solution. You can load Topo USA CDrom  onto the harddrive, 
not requiring the CD to be present, then put the Street Atlas into the CDrom
drive, and you can run both programs simultaneously in separate windows.
ALso, a "finger" mouse works quit well while driving...

Presently, I don't often use Topo USA or Street Altlas while driving, my two
Black Labrador companions have a habit of trashing (over a period of time) any
hi-tech toys like HF Amateur Radio Transceivers or Laptops (Hi-tech gear
doesn't stand up to a Labrador's set of toe-nails or excited slobber as we 
pass
a pretty golden Labrador girl on a street corner).

I can get away with a Garman GPS III Plus tucked over the dash, and a Icom 
2 mtr radio hung from the roof liner, However, when Ford comes out with a
"heads up" display for the windshield, I will upgrade to Topo 3.0...

At that point I will have to upgrade the truck to one of the supercab 4 door
models... Seeing how as I can't wear out my '86 Ford Heavy Duty 4X4 standard
pickup,  I am afraid any upgrading is going to have to wait... Meanwhile, I 
enjoy
having my companions with me too much to give them up for a Laptop...

What I have found works best is to do my navigating in the evening for the next
day,  I travel with a HP Omnibook Laptop, and a HP-350 battery operated 
printer,
and can print the planned day run the night before or at one of our many rest
stops along the way if needed. Then underway I can use the Garman GPS III 
Plus which is the MAP model, I have the Garman Roads and Recreation
CDrom data base for it.
