Ok, here's the deal. Airstream developed  wire run lists of were stuff is. For your 
24' '76 Argosys the speaker wires are:
Front curbside, 42" up from the floor and 6" forward of the center line.
Front roadside, 42" up from the floor and 6" forward of the center line.
Rear curbside, 42" up from the floor and 151" aft of the center line.
Rear roadside, 42" up from the floor (double bed 65" up) and 151" aft of the center 
line.

The center line reference is the first rib seam which is were the front end liner 
meets the metal ceiling. From the outside it is that point were the front cap meets 
the side sheets. This applies only to coaches that have the prewire kit in them. That 
hand full of wires in the front overhead are the obvious proof of a stereo prewired 
coach.
