[A/S] Re: Help with wood flooring
Bob,
Another option that I will probably go with when I can't stand the
carpet any longer will be Cork. It's light, quiet, insulating and I
think relatively easy to install. Visit
http://www.corkfloors.com/cork.html for ideas. When I was a kid we had
a cork floor in our kitchen and it was great, never cold and sort of
cushiony to walk on.
I am an insurance adjuster and I have paid for Pergo floors after
water has gotten to them from wind driven rain or a leaking
refrigerator water supply line. I would not use Pergo because of this.
It is also slick and noisy especially if you have a dog with claws
that go rat-a-tat-tat-tat.
