[A/S] Tires versus Concrete

Hunter,
 I don't believe a cured concrete floor will damage a tire.
It is true that the chemicals in concrete will damage wood but only if
you stick the wood in wet concrete.
I have had tires resting on a concrete floor for the last twenty years
with no problems with breakdown of the tire.
I know you don't want to put tires on contact with the ground I have in
my yard due to the acid in it. It is so bad that it etched the paint on a
Porsche I had a few years back.
What you really need to look out for is the tires getting a out-of-round
"set" from long contact with the floor. I don't think you need to worry
about that as much as you are on the road though.
Wet concrete is very alkaline if I remember right and what you want to
avoid is either an acid (my soil) or a strong base (wet concrete).
Concrete over a week old cannot damage your tires because it holds that
alkaline in so you don't need to worry.
The worst part to some in this world (not me) is the fact that the carbon
in the tire will mark a concrete surface with the tread pattern. That is
why you see some floor protectors under the tires on a showroom floor.
