Jim,
I think there is no question that synthetics have an
advantage of viscosity during temperature extremes.  I
think that is the major advantage.  I, like you have
had good service from convential oil.  But as I noted
in an earlier post, I'm pulling more weight now with
the A/S so a little TLC is probably in order.
