Re: [A/S] T.V. bracket
Hi All,
I put a 20" Sony tv (pretty heavy) on the factory folding mount right
across from the door in my '72 International.
I found the wood-like paneling the TV mount is screwed to in my travel
trailer to be very strong stuff.
I did hang a small chain from the top rear of the TV back at a 45 degree
angle and affixed it to the same piece of paneling the TV shelf is
screwed to take some of the weight.
I painted the chain and hook I made flat black and it pretty much cannot
be seen.
It has held that TV for ten years with no problems.
I do take the TV down and put it on the floor when traveling for safety.
When 20" flat panel LCD TV's get down in price I will pick one up to
replace the current setup as they are much thinner and lighter. I expect
them to be under $1000 within 5 years.
