Mine looks exactly like you describe but with one
important difference.  The slide bar doesn't move, it
is fixed.  My thermostat book that came with the
trailer is written for two models of Atwood
thermostats.  Both are identical except one allows
adjustment of the anticipator the other one doesn't. 
The model installed in my trailer is the non
adjustable 
unit.
