What kind of wallpaper is it ? I'll bet it's vinyl and uses special glue
to keep it on when air is humid in the trailer.

On house walls, painting over wallpaper is considered a no-no, you are
supposed to strip it first. That's for real paper and real wallpaper
paste. Which "move" with humidity changes. 

My guess is that AS paper is another matter entirely. Try it under the
sink or something, and see what happens. You may need to prepare the
surface , certainly by cleaning the daylights out of it, and maybe
scuffing the surface so it will stick better. Scuffing can either be a
light sanding or a fluid applied that sort of etches the surface.

Maybe someone from the factory will tell us what you have there. On the
other hand, they may be cranky because you said you hated it....
