Hi Daisy,

Unfortunately, I got new gaskets with the lens cover and/or the
complete lamp.  Only one of the gaskets was of a material that I think was
up to the task.  The originals and most "new" replacements seemed to be a
type of hard felt.  Weather exposure caused the stuff to shrink and directed
water inside the lamp base.  Only one was made of Contemporary material.
Sort of a white closed cell foam.  I think I put this one in the scare light
as water entering this area does the most damage?  I did everything I could
think of to prevent water from entering inside the wall through the lamp
base and cover.

Hopefully, your question will bring lots of suggestions as the new fiber
gaskets I installed won't function properly for very long.

Really important to pay attention to Dr. J's advice on corrosion control and
grounding in the light fixtures.
