Here's another slant on this: My nearest Airstream dealer's parts guy
laughed out loud when I wanted to order parts for my '73. So I went to a
non A/s dealer, Dufour's RV in Fitchburg MA.  They have treated me like
a queen, and even scold me a little in fun if they don't think I am
treating my baby right.  Most of the guts of an A/S are the same as
other RV's, it's the structure itself and the quality of it's
construction that are different. My place can't replace skin ( I don't
think) or other AS specific stuff, but they can maintain all the systems
just fine.
