NEVER jack any Airstream trailer up by the axle. On
tandems, place the jack BETWEEN the two axles, on the
AXLE MOUNTING PLATE. On a single axle, place the jack
IMMEDIATELY BEHIND THE WHEEL.
The "JACK" labels that Airstream put on the under
carriage near the four corners are "FOR STABILIZING
JACKS"  ONLY. They are NOT lifting points. To lift the
trailer off the ground from a "jack pad" point, can
and often does damage other portions of the trailer.
