Re: [A/S] novice
So do I but that rarely stops me.
How much annual maintenance should I expect?
On a new trailer shouldn't be more than washing and waxing, winterizing,
unwinterizing, checking tire inflation, annual safety inspection. Some how on
an airstream it brings pleasure.
Do the dealers vary much on the list cost vs. sales cost?
Don't know I'll be waiting to find the answer to this one too.
Where can I find pictures of custom interiors?
www.airstream.com surf around there for a while. Check out the dealer page,
find one near you, they have nice color brochures.
Many thanks for the feedback. We have 3 little kids and really want to
spend
more time with them in the great outdoors. Many thanks for any
advice and feedback.
This is my opinion of course, three little kids will fit into a 25 ft. three
larger ones will fit tightly. When I started to look I was after a 25 ft.
because of towing. I was told that 29-31 doesn't tow much differently. I
couldn't find a 25 but found a 27. We have 3 children going on 2. in a
couple of years will be 2 going on 1 at that time the 27 ft will be the
perfect size. We love the 27 and will probably keep it but had I to do it
over I would have gone to 30-31 with a dinette. Except for the weight
difference towing is essentially the same.
Someone on the list once said for every week you camp the unit loses one foot
of length. With 3 growing kids I don't think it takes a week. On the other
hand I also read on the list folks putting as many in a unit shorter than 25.
I guess it depends on how close you like to be.
What ever you deiced to do Airstream and the great outdoors are a combination
that cannot be beat.
