On a new trailer, maintenance should be minimal: repack wheel bearings
every 12,000 miles or annually, whichever comes first. Inspect brakes
while doing bearings.
Winterize properly if you're in a freezing climate. Remember that damage
will occur anytime the trailer's plumbing is allowed to freeze, and that
requires temperatures only slightly below 32 degrees, it doesn't have to
go down to zero.
Keep things tight, touch up any rust spots on the steel parts, and you
should be 'good to go' for many years.
