I have a question for you regarding the list.

Do you think there is an audience for a map driven people (and other 
things) locator. I bring this up based on the recent postings about 
"where someone is".  Toby and I have been pondering building
something like this for a year or so now.  We are both experienced at 
this sort of Website building, Map based lookups, But some sort of 
administrator would need to be put into place to monitor the
postings of "here I am"s to the map, so that no unworthy types get their 
stuff in there.  Neither of us seem to have the time to handle this part 
of the equation.

The idea would be to supply a map, what resolution is open to 
discussion, Major roads [Highway,freeway] perhaps, to the list community 
for plotting their location, same process could be used for RV
Parks, RV Parts, etc.  We would have a position Form for users to fill 
out, and they would be able to either click a location on a map 
(easiest) or enter their address and get a location (harder in
that the location address lookup would require a database to drive it). 
 Could be a phase two operation as well. depending on popularity.

I think we could be persuaded to build the thing and host it on a near 
term basis, to measure a need, and then go from there in a few months.  
You would be a first choice in my mind for monitoring
the postings, it should basically run itself, with you only needing to 
reply to an Email to confirm a post.. we would make every effort to make 
things as easy as possible for you.

Do you have any thoughts along these lines.  We can show some similar 
working Website to you, they are more complicated than what I've 
mentioned, but you will get an idea of the possibilities they
could lead to.
