Re: [A/S] Winterizing
Hi Sam,
Well I winterized today but ended up not using the kit
I bought that fits between the fresh water tank and
pump. I pulled the screws out of the panel below the
closet but found that the panel will not come out
without removing the molding that encloses the closet
and the panel below. It looks like the molding is
glued on. You can't slide the panel up due to the
closet doors. I decided the heck with it and used the
freshwater holding tank.
Now I understand why that one person told you to cut
an access hole. I might try to do that one day but at
this point I'll just send the kit back to Camping
World for a refund.
No other problems in getting the system blown out.
The low petcocks between the tandom axles worked
great. I'll finish the Walbernize job tomorrow.
It got down to 31 this morning and I kept the furnace
at 50. I found that the rear compartment above the
bumper where the water pressure regulator is located
got down to 39 at its coldest. I tested the night
before when it was 40 and found the compartment got
down to 45. Obviously the more frequently the furnace
runs the better the spread is between that compartment
and outside. If you remember I was curious about this
compartment since it has no heat outlet.
