You might want to find the date of manufacture on the tire. Michelin has a
pro-rated 6-year warranty on the XCA tire. They obviously can't replace the
XCAs, but might make you some sort of adjustment on another type of tire
they carry. There is a DOT number stamped on the sidewall, and if you read
the last three digits, it will tell you the birthday. For example, if it
reads 248, it was manufactured during the 24th week of 1998.

Brands can be mixed, but keep the Michelins on one axle and the Bridgestones
on the other, assuming both brands are the same size.
