Airstream installed the water pipes on top of the heat
ducts, to keep them from freezing "AND" some of that
same heat is used to keep the holding tanks and water
tanks from also freezing. If you do not use the
furnace, during freezing weather, you will more than
likely have a "freeze up" problem. The systems rely on
"circulated heat." If portable heaters are used, the
circulation won't take place. As long as your not in
freezing weather, then there is "no" problem.  Max
