Barry,
Don't apologize, many of us wonder where everyone is from!
I spent a small fortune on a plumber to do exactly what you did! I
replaced the facets on the kitchen sink, bath sink and tub on my 67
Safari. I thought the plumber would burst a blood vessel! I played
gopher and went back and forth to Home Depot looking for the right size
fittings! Seems that nothing is regulation size.
