Re: [A/S] Keeping food cold while traveling

Hi Patti,

Funny you should ask. When we picked up our Dream Stream, the owner pulled
the rocker glider in front of the fridge & tipped it over. Like, this is
how you are supposed to batten things down. It was much too heavy to fall
or slide on the carpet, but..... we didn't argue.

In our 2 years now of travel, we've found the fridge open several times,
when we take a rest break, even after reinstalling the plastic catch that
holds the freezer & fridge together.

We now place something heavy enough in front of the fridge to keep it from
popping open before we head out the door.

We always travel with propane tank valves turned off, but we stop early in
the afternoon and the fridge is plugged in to electric for 15 or more hours
each day and food stays cold, even frosty during the day. Of course, we
only open it about 6 times while it is turned off.

We keep the A/S plugged into shore power at all times that we are not on
the road, and the fridge turned on the electric mode, so it is always
running.
