Re: [A/S] Hot Rod

In my case the heater is 4 years old... so no warranty anyway.

< I don't understand the big price for installation.>

Campig World didn't charge me much.....

< The only thing that might
be tricky is mounting the electric thermostat on the tank so it could sense
the tank's water temperature. I suppose the tank insulation is removed for a
big enough spot to mount the thermostat and it's glued on somehow with
something that can stand the temperature. >

After watching it being installed I could probably install one.. it's quite
simple.

<The prices on the ones I have seen are more like $100 than the $70 figure
someone mentioned. Seems to me you would need to use a lot of free (or
included electricity) and a lot of hot water to justify the cost on economic
 grounds. >>

I will spend another 100.00 on one if and when mine craps out. I never want
to be without. I don't have to ilisten to that obnoxious gas sound when
heating water and I don't use gas... personally I like having everything
electric so I don't have to refill the gas tanks. It's not about money, it's
about convenience.
