I have a Reese hitch on a 1995 K1500 and have a 2500HD tow vehicle on order.  
The hitch receiver on the 2500HD will be 2 inches higher than the receiver on 
the 1500.  My hitch is adjusted to its lowest point on the K1500.  Answer 
seems to be to purchase a new forged part that fits into the receiver tube on 
the truck.  The above site was about $20 cheeper on the part than Camping 
World.  They also had a good price on a brake controller.  I haven't been to 
their place yet, but most likely will use them when my new truck arrives.
