Chuck and Lynn, that sounds like what we have been hunting in the southeast.  
We have found some on the water, but they look like a "fish camp".  
i.e.--trailers are old, lots of junk scattered around the camping area, and, 
in general, has the looks of a place where you wouldn't want to take a long 
walk after sun down.

Maybe someone on the list will share their thoughts of the "ideal spot".
